When an internal flood of any size has occurred, it is highly likely that the water has seeped through to the sub-flooring. You may be surprised to know that it is irrelevant if the floor composition is concrete or timber. They both absorb water so they both will need to be completely dried out before any carpeting can be fixed down and/or reinstated.
For this we need to first extract as much water as we can with our specialised water extraction equipment and then by lifting the carpets to get our air movers blowing high volumes of air under the carpets which create a continuing current of hot air. The end result is dry carpets on the underside and dry sub-floors. Please note that is the more severe cases the carpet may have to be completely lifted and taken off-site to a professional drying plant.
To avoid the moisture build up within the premises while the drying process is working, we use commercial dehumidifiers to extract the moisture from the air and if required, we can also use commercial grade air refreshers that will permeate the surfaces of the room/s leaving them fresh and odour free.
Do Not leave your floors wet
