Rug Cleaning & Rug Drying

If you care for your rug you should understand that rugs require a specialist cleaning and drying process. Because of the varied composition of rugs across a massive range of styles, colours, shapes and sizes they often far more fragile than carpets. That together with the individual manufacturing process make them extremely sensitive to ‘off the shelf’ cleaning chemicals.

If you are tempted to do a DIY clean on your rugs, we would urge you to reconsider that idea. During any cleaning of rugs by inexperienced people will run the high-risk discolouration, fibre damage and stains. Another common failure for DIY rug cleaners is that the rug is likely to lose its shape and when attempts are made to bring it back to the original shape, the situation worsens.

Water Damage Sunshine Coast include a specialist division for rug cleaning offering technicians with a complete understanding and experience in the rug cleaning process from start to finish. We know what cleaning agent is safe for which fibre but even then, we will still do a spot test first. Cleaned rugs are then hung over wide diameter drying rollers set in drying racks and remain there having the warm air from the blowers filtering through the racks at an even and consistent heat.

It is often the case that rug owners do not have a vehicle large enough to transport their rugs to us without causing even some minor damage so as part of our service we pick up the rug/s and return them once cleaned.
